Homework and Update for the Week of 5/27
Monday: No school because of Memorial Day
Wednesday: FIELD TRIP to Animal Ark. Please have your child dress warmly, as the high is in the 60s. Your child needs to wear Mass uniform and bring good walking shoes. There will probably not be any time to change. Please send your child with water, a jacket, sunscreen, a sack lunch (no way to heat it up), and a snack. We will be leaving as quickly after Mass as possible (between 9:30 and 10). We should return around 2.
I will be not be at school Thursday, Friday, and Monday (5/30, 5/31, and 6/3) because of the wedding.
Homework for the rest of the school year:
1. Read 15 minutes each night.
2. Play one math game each night.
3. Enjoy the last few days of school!
We will be doing one more research project at school during the last week of school, but it will be done completely at school.
Please return any bags of books and folders if you have them. Blue folders will probably go out a couple more times this year with graded work. Report cards will be sent on the last day of school.
Thanks! Our first grade year has been so much fun! I hope you have a wonderful summer!

This website will be my method of contacting you in the meantime. Please check the BLOG section regularly for updates.
THIS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20: BIRD PRESENTATIONS AT 2 PM.
Our bird
presentations will be different than the President presentations. Each
child will be standing at his/her desk waiting to share the information.
The parents and other classes (I am inviting a few other classes) will be able
to walk around and hear the different presentations. This way, everyone
will be able to see the great bird and habitat models that the kids will have
made. For the presentation, please make sure of the
following:
1. Your child has a short speech (refer to the email
I sent about the birds project) prepared that he/she can quickly share with
people as they walk around.
2. Your child has a homemade bird
and habitat model. Please do not buy the birds or spend lots of money; I
want to see birds and habitats that the first graders have made.
:)
3. Your child needs to bring in the graphic organizer that I
sent home, filled in neatly with a good amount of
information.
Thanks! Can't wait to see you there!
